Popular California Dog Beaches

Ocean Blvd. Point Reyes National Seashore is one of the many dog beaches that Marin County offers on a last minute vacation.  They allow leashed dogs on the beaches but not on the hiking trails. One of the largest dog beaches in the US is in Ocean Beach, California near San Diego.  It encompasses 38 acres of sand and is visited by thousands of dogs allowed to run without leashes.  There is a self-serve dog wash to clean up your pooch two blocks away.
